Related to that, a German company named Neofonie has just announced a new Slate tablet device powered by the Atom platform. This tablet device known as WePad. WePad been equipped with a multitouch screen features 11.6-inch size with a resolution of 1366 × 768 and the Linux operating system with Java support, Flash and Adobe AIR.

WePad uses Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor and a storage capacity of 16GB/32GB. Moreover, this tablet also comes with a capable 1.3 Megapixel webcam, card reader and expansion slot for SD / SDHC. This time, there are two models that will be released ie, WePad-capacity 16GB sells for 499 EUR and WePad 3G 32GB capacity for 569 EUR. Both will be equipped with network equipment that supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

WePad tablet device was wrapped with chasing made of magnesium-aluminum and weighs only 800g too.
